LONG, LONG AGO - In the year 1904 the W. E. Karr family posed for a picture at their home in the Island Grove community. Hie farm then belonged to Jake Pierson. From left to right, front row: Dawson and Lawson Smith (twins), W. E. Karr, Jimmye Karr Wilburn, Ellen Karr Beard, Dora Strother Ramey,Lynt Karr. Back: Lee Karr, Ella Kart Ledbetter, Mrs. W. E. Karr, Preston Roberts, Ernest Roberts, Allen Strother. Mrs. Wilburn and Mrs. Ellen Beard of Grandview and Allen Strother of Waco art the only surviving members of the family pictured. The Island Grove church can be seen m me bacKground.
