A Prelate of Many Languages. The Catholic Advance, of Tnibodux, La., speaking of Archbishop Janssens, of New Orleans, says:“Archbishop Jansseus has been engaged in giving Confirmation in the Western part of the diocese. At Opelousas, about one half of the large congregation are colored, and quite a number of these persons are very attentive to their religious duties. At this church, his Grace spoke in English and French, thus adapting himself to the mixed congregation that had gathered to hear him. In another parish, his Grace had occasion to address the people in English, French and German, so as to be understood by the three elements of the people who formed the congregation. The Archbishop, in addressing the people in the languages that they understand’ manifests his desire to please all his devoted spiritual children, whatever their mother tongue.
