DAVID DISNEY'S DEATH.Terribly Sait Accident Mar* the Joyof the Duckworth*.Cincinnati, June 4.Sorrow is written now on the faces of th*Duckworth Club members who started forSt. Louis yesterday morning in high spirit*to the music of the First Regiment Band.Word comes trom Seymour, Ind., that Mr.David Disney, the well known Democrat,met with a fatal accident at that point Th*train stopped for a few moments to give the members a chance to talk wilh their friends, who thronged the platform. Mr. Disney was so deeply engrossed in conversation that he did not notice the starting of the train.A friend from the car thonted, Hurry up, Dave.” He turned. hU foot slipped off the platform and in the twinkling of an eye his left leg was a crushed, shapeless mass of flesh and bone. The cruel wheels were stopped a moment after, and Mr. Disney was lifted up and tenderly cared for. His wife was telegraphed, and. accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Douglass, left for Seymour on the 0. M. at 7:15 last evening. He seemed to grow better for a while after the mangled leg was amputated, but about midnight began to grow worse and at twenty minutes to 2 this morning died in the arms of his wife. Mr. Disney was a great favorite among bis fellow members of the club, and his death will plunge them from the height of anticiplalea pleasure Into profound, sorrow. The remain* will be brought here this morning.
