But listen, that’s just a description It’s a true description, all right, we’re all seekers, but should we be that way° Should anyone ever feel right in saying, I won’t get to get what I’m after ‘til the day I die”0After all, should we be spend ing our whole lives searching for something we don’t believe we’re going to get ‘tii we die9 Is life supposed to be a death march0 And just what is it we’re supposed to be seeking; Isn’t it for the thing or things that can make us happy0 Do we have to go through a lifetime of torture and uncertainty to be happy0 That’s a contradiction Then, too, whom are we trying to get our happiness from0 Can happiness be given by other people0 Can we seek for answers all over the world and ignore our own thoughts and mind° For too long we’ve been going out to find the hap piness that can only be found inside our minds Come in, young man should be the motto of the Twentieth CenturyI looked down the chair, I looked down the table;1 tried to find the key to fit familiar fables.They call me the seeker. Why don’t we spend more time looking at ourselves0 Can you picture what life would be like if most of us knew what it was we wanted, and were willing to work to get it0 We’d still not know everything there is to know. We’d still laugh when life’s good, and when it’s sad, we'd cry But we wouldn’t be desperate men, we wouldn’t constantly be wondering how and why we got our values We’d have time to do the things we believe in We’d have time to be happy before not only when — we die We’d have the time to enjoy life.Impossible0 No, all we have to do is look inside ourselves Only we know ourselves. Who’s better qualified than us to find out what’s best for us0 Face it nobody.They call me the seeker. I’ve been searching low and high. If that’s you singing those words, you’ve been searching in the wrong places The right place is in your mind; you’ve got to decide for yourself what you want and then go after it.
