After her marriage Mr:-, Farr moved to Iroquois county, Illinois, in 187*. From there they moved to Kansas in 1878 and from there to Lincoln county, Oklahoma in 1891. In 1904 they moved to Beaver county, Oklahoma, and in 190G they moved to Des Moines and had resided at this place since that time, building: a home and being; among the oldest settlers in this section.Mrs. Farr united with the Christian church in Iroquois county, Illinois, in 1874, and remained a consistent member of that church until the date of her death. She was a member of the Methodist Ladies Aid of Des Moines and until the last few years a hard worker i:i that order.The pall bearers at the funeral last Saturday were six of the men that came first to Des Moines. They had known Mrs. Farr since her ar-rva! at Des Moines;When a person that has lived a Jong; and useful life passes on there is much that can be said about them. Suffice it to say that Mrs. Farr was a loving' wife, a good mother and a neighbor who nevei failed to be a neighbor in time of need. She was one of the women that have lived the life of the frontier, who have endured hardships in order that civilization should be brought to the wilds and that fruit trees should blossom on the prairies. She raised her family and taught them the duty of man to man as well as the duty of man
