Alice L. Keene was boi n on April 12, 1853, at Boonville, Missouri. Died on May 2'Jth, 1924, aged 71 years, 1 month and 17 days. Her father's family moved to McClaim county, Illinois, and it was these t!ir.‘ she was married to A. W. Farr on October 28, 1873.To this union eight children were born, four of whom survive her besides her aged husband. The surviving children are Homer J. Farr of Capulin, New Mexico, Elmer E. Farr of Gulf, Texas. Mr. H. II. Errett of Clayton, New Mexico, and Mrs. L. A. Barr of lies Moines, New Mexico. Of the children who preceded her to theGreat Beyond Mrs. J. F. Branson is buried at Des Moines.After her marriage Mrs. Farr moved to Iroquois county, Illinois, in 1874. From there they moved to Kansas in 1878 and from there to Lincoln county, Oklahoma in 1891. In 1904 they moved to Beaver county, Oklahoma, and in 1900 they moved to Des Moines and had resided at this place since that time, building a home and being among the oldest settlers it) this section.Mrs. Farr united with the Chrix-I tian church in Iroquois county, 111-| inois, in 1874, and remained a con-
