SHOAL CREEK GIVES II UP LAST BODY OF 4 DROWNED WEEK AGOMabel Scheurich, 10 Years Old, Taken From Stream Far Below Scene of Sunday’s Tragedy.A FUNERAL FOR ALL TODAY tServices for Mother, Son and Two Daughters Will Be Held in St. Peter’s Catholic Church.The body of Mabel Scheurich, 10 .vears old, after submersion in Shoal creek since last Sunday afternoon, was recovered at 8:30 o’clock yesterday morning by Ross Carver, No. 315 East. Thirteenth street, and George Greer of Blehdville.Funeral services for Mabe! and her mother, Mrs, James J. Scheurich; a Bister. Helen, a#?ed fi, and a brother, James, aged 8, all of whom perish-ed in the same tragedy, will be held at 10 o’clock this morning in St. Peter’s j Catholic church. The condition of Mabel’s body made It imperative that funeral be held today.One Casket to Remain Closed.The bodies of Mrs. Scheurich, Helen and James will lie in state in the chapel of the Frank-Sievers Undertaking Company until 9 o’clock this morning. The caskets will not be opened at the church and Mabel’s body will not be for public view.Mabel’s body was found a mile and a quarter from where she drowned. It washed against, a ripple at the foot of what is known as the “Blue Hole.” Career and Greer were ■walking along the bank when they saw the body and removed it from the stream.They claimed a reward of $225 that was offered for the finding of the body and will he paid immediately. Mr. Scheurich said. He also declared he would give a reward of $150 to Thomas Brock, who found the body of Helen, and that Brock can .give the sum to charity or keep it, as he pleases. Mr. Brock yesterday accepted a reward of $25 from Tr. G. I. Mays.The offer of a reward was made in good faith,” Mr. Scheurich declared. “and I am firm in my determination to give Mr. Brock the money.”The Rev. Father D. .1. O'Driscoll •will conduct funeral services over the bodies, which will be taken to the church at 9 o'clock this morning.Schoolmates I’av Respects.A special musical program will he given under direction of Mrs. Nonnie Harbine Crawford. organist. A quartet composed of Roy Legg, Paul Kelley, W F. Maher and Dr. A. N. Bobbitt will sing several selections. Tr. Eugene Rohan will sing the Gregorian requiem mass, and Mr. Legg will ting a selection' at the offertory.The Sodality of the Children of Mary, sentinels, and pupils of the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy will meet at the convent at 8:15 o’clock this morning and will go to the undertaking company’s chapel to accompany the bodies to the church. Sodalists will wear mantles and veils and pupils will wear white.Burial will he in Mt. Hope cemetery.Members of the Knighte of Columbus lodge and the Joplin Turnvereln Germania will accompany the bodies from the chapel to the church.
