Grant White Recalls Memories of the “Good Old Days.”Grant White arrived in town Wednesday, from Bridge River. Grant has little to say of his properties on Bridge river. He prefers to talk of the days of ’95. j when he, with Herb. Taylor and Marshal Cleveland struck town.The trio had left Pineville, Oregon, together, for the purpose of taking up land in the Peace river' country. Many delays occurred I over the long trail, and winter had set in by the time they arrived at Clinton with their eight horse outfit. Work-II ing on the world-famed “Golden 2 Cache,** Marshall Cleveland fellIover a bluff in 181*7, and was killed.Grant has. ever since, been on the Bridge river, where he has a ranch near Tyaughton, and, in partnership with Geo. Bell, a nice looking gold mine in Bonanza Basin.
