Jane Joseph, Nov. 11, 1860, to whom no children were bprfi. He was a soldiprinthe late war; in 1869 moved to Iowa and was a resident i of Sioux Qitv for 22 years. There, ! j and in 187Q, he proftssed fait!) in j Jesus Christ arid united with the 1st j Baptist church. Became a member j of the Odd Fellows in 1872 arid inlt; J1801 came to California and re-i sided at the Palms afilt;f this place -I most of the timesince. Died on My I 26, after an illness of about three j j years, age 59 years, 11 months, 6 i ! days. •' ■lt; iThe funeral took place at 10 o’clock Thursday under tqe auspices i ; of the I. 0. 0. F., the services being ; 1 ! held ,in the Baptist church, which ;1 | was well attended. A short sermon j1 was preached by the pastor, Rev. T. {R. Bowles. The remains were 'tered in our Cemetery witlt®fche rites of the Order. [The deceased had a nice home on the west side of town. He had one brother here.
