A capacity crowd of over 200 women of the Elks and their out-of-jurisdiction guests are expected to attend the annual Officers’ Wives’ Party of Terre Haute Benevolent and Profes ional Order of Elks 86 which will be held June 13 at the Elks’ Fort Harrison Country Club. Officials report that reserva tions are being received so steadily that “another capacity crowd is anticipated.” Each year the interest continues to grow in the affair, termed one of the most exciting social season events of the country club Situated in the airy comfort of the clubhouse’s porch over looking the grassy slopes of the former Wabash Erie Canal and the Wabash River, the party will begin with a punch bowl assembly at 11:30 a.m. The special luncheon table will carry out a tasty menu which will include breast of chicken, orange sauce and sa fron rice, frozen peas and mush rooms in timbale shells, orange rolls and an equally pleasing Summer dessert. A style show, featuring fash ions by The Root’s Store, will follow the luncheon with Mrs. Donald J. Banas as narrator. Models will be Mmes. Jack B. Bindley Jr., Daniel W. Cheek s Jr., Walter F. Frazier, Horace Fisbeck, Clifton C. Jones, J. William Kepler, J. Ralph Learn ard, Robert D. Maehling, Guy Mascari, Glenn R. Mauerer, William G. Maurer, C. C. Mc Intosh, Joseph C. McLaughlin, Donald O’Rear, Robert W. Peter, C. A. “Bud” Rourke, Robert S. Scott and Mark H. Williams. “Daisies Never Tell” will be the party theme with daisy blossoms carried predominantly throughout the decorations. Aiding with the decor planning and designing will be Albert C. Light, manager of the Root’s display department. The remainder of the after noon will be spent in games of the guests’ choice, meeting old and new friends and other pro gram features. The committee in charge is composed of Mrs. James Ball, chairman, and Mines, Daniel Williams, Banas, Cheek, Frazier, Bindley, Glenn Maurer, Gene Trummel, C. L. Shideler, John J. Cleary Jr., Arthur All, Ben jamin C. Cox, Glenn D. Irwin, Robert Davis, Raymond Fischer, Richard Weddle and Robert Peter.
