Present Manager Of Country Club To Be RetainedThe special committee appointed by members of the Bryan Country Club to look after the club management met at the club house Friday night ami elected M rs. E. R. Quortrup manager of j all activities in the clubhouse.Mrs. Quortrup had the management of the clubhouse while under the city management and has made an excellent reputation as hostess and manager with the patrons.The club house with its private dining rooms, lounge, spacious dance hall and large screened porches is regarded an ideal place foi social activities.The golf course will be maintained and improved and considered one of the best nine-hole courses in the state. The grass greens and recent improvements cost around $8000 and every effort will be made to make golfing more popular.The swimming pool that attracted such large crowds this past season will be opened shortly.The lake will be leased to the Isaac Walton club and those who enjoy fishing will have good spurt.A membership drive will be started and those who do not care to join will be allowed all the j privileges of the club by paying j a nominal charge and the man- i agement will leave nothing undone j to make this summer the best sea-1 son enjoyed by the club since its organization.n v
