BY RON WILKINS Staff Reporter Just before the courthouse clock chimed 5 o'clock Thursday, Derrick Love became a free man, compli ments of jury who accited hm of last Labor Day ‘weekend's killing of Andrae Paige. “Trust in the Lord,” Love's mother, Ruth Love said after the verdict as Paige's and Love's family filtered ‘out to the hallway. “My son has been innocent from the beginning” .When police heard Derrick Love's name as possi bly being associated with the shooting in the 2700 block of Madison Avenue, they stopped investigating, Ruth Love said, Police knew Derrick Love's two brothers were con victed murderers, so they turned their attention to him.
