A studywas done in 1984 that looked at the costs and benefits of such a merger.Biel said that at the time of the study neither Frankfort nor Prestwick saw a pressing need to pursueannexation.Last time we left with the understanding that the Prestwick Homeowners had a strong feeling toward Frankfort,” Biel said. He said the feeling was that if Prestwick should decide to incorporate “their tendency would be toward Frankfort.Biel said Prestwick families already are a part of the Frankfortcommunity.Their children go to our schools; they go to our churches,” he said. Prestwick residents also pay Will County taxes.
