ETHEL PORTERtEthel Porter,daughter of.. Jessie and Jennie Clayton.. was born on a farm in Taylor County, near Clearfield, Iowa on May 21, 1890 and answer* ed the cafl of her heavenly.. Father on May 24,1970 at the Rest View Nursing Home in Des Moines , Iowa at the age of 80 years/ and three days. ' She spent her childhood days and received her education in the Clearfield school. On March 7,1913, she was,united in marriage to Clair Pc1 rter at Mt.Ayr, Iowa, Early inj life she made her confession! .j of faith in Christ at the OpenBible Church.She won many friends among old and young by her cheerful disposition and left an example of deep sympathy ..and kindly generosity.She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters... and three brothers and one.. grand child,Kenneth Larson. I Left to mourn her passing.. I are her two children, Harriett* Larson of Sac City, Iowa and.. Dale Porter of Des Moines, la. Two brothers,Arthur of Diagonal and John of Akron, Ohio. Two sisters, Myr tie Palmer ofAkron, Ohio and Marie Reedof Indianola, Iowa.Also six grandchildren andeight great grand children____and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.Final rites were conducted from the United Methodist Church in Clearfield with Rev...E.S .Tscheteter officiating onThursday,May 28th at 1:30 P. j M.. .with burial in the Clear- ! field cemetery. i
