Council To Discuss iTaxes, Airport WorkLevying of taxes for .1962I and presentation of the second phase of plans for the Arlington municipal airport are listed on the preliminary agenda for the Tuesday night meeting of the City Council.truck, seven police cars, one 1-ton flat bed truck and one tractor for the Meadowbrook golf course will be reviewed. If the bids are satisfactory, purchases will be approved.The new plans for the atr-iencinc for the airstrip. The proposed improvements, it is estimated, will cost $23,400.The federal government is anticipated to pay about half the cost.It iias not been determined yet as to whether the city will lease the airstrip or operate it — another consideration which the council will soonmull over.Also probably to be discussed soon; construction of .'.angers and an office building, as indicated on the airport master plan.
