W. Lobay, Supervisor of Crop Pro tection, Alberta. Department of Agri culture, reports that although, a few more rat colonies have been located in the infested area near Acadia Val ley, there has been no extensive spread since the April survey! Warfarin is still being used by pest control control officers and property owners with en couraging results. Further help is at hand, and farm ers of the area have been busily pre paring their premises for an all-out extermination campaign. Under ar rangements with the Government of Alberta, a Winnipeg firm of pest ex terminators,N. L. Poulin Ltd. will be in the area early in June to begin their systematic rat clean-up project. With the co-operation of every person concerned, representatives of the firm are satisfied that not only can all the rats in the infested area be extermin ated, but that the area can be proot ed for a period to prevent establish ment of new colonies. This is no one man job. The co operation of every resident will be re quired. Anyone observing signs of rats can provide effective aid in the pro ject by reporting the matter at once to the local Pest Control Officer.
