Donald Riste met with a rather singular and painful accident on the tennis court Saturday afternoon. While playing tennis he jumped to catch a high batted ball, and his foot slipping he fell to the ground, striking on his left hand, which he involuntarily extended to break his fall. One bone of the arm between the wrist and elbow snapped. He was taken across the street to the Oro-ville hospital, where Dr. Lewis at once set the bone and placed the arm ir a plaster cast. The injury is not serious, but the young man will be out the use of that member of his anatomy for some weeks.
