Old Resident of Jefferson Township Dies. Sunday. William H. Kelso, one of ‘the best known citizens of Jefferson, “to Wil ship, died ‘Sunday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alvin Capehart. ‘He was born in Knox ville, Dubois county, “Febuary 26, 1831, and came to Pike county when a ‘young man and engaged in’ farm ing in Jefferson township. He ac tively engaged in farming, ‘until a few years ago when he retired from active life. ’ Physically he ‘was one of the strongest men ‘that ever lived in’ ‘Pike ‘county, but never boasted of his strength. He was a lifelong member of the Cumberland, Presby terian, church, and an elder for nearly fifty years, and lived a truly christian life. He was a kind neighbor and a friend, of all with whom he’ became acquainted. The funeral services were largely attended, ‘being held: at the family residence © ‘Tuesday - morning. and. conducted: “by Rev. Morgan, “pastor of the’ M.
