Fall Against Glass DoorMOKENA-Running toward the exit in the north corridor of Willowcresl School last Wednesday, JamesNovak, 12, 18811 S. 113thAv., tripped over a floor mat and went plunging against the glass of the outer door. His left arm went thru theglass, cutting it practically tothe bone on both sides of the forearm, starting about an inch above wrist and extending upward.Police Chief, Wayne Ryderreceived the call at 12.10. Heapplied a pressure bandage, wrapped a towel about the arm and left the school at 12:15, arriving at Silver Cross Hospital at 12:25. Examination revealed that the tendonswere not severed but it required 50 stitches to repairthe damage.James was permitted to return to his home Thursday night He is a 7th grader pupil at St. Mary but attends some classes at Willowcresl in asharc-the-educational facilities program adopted by the two schools.
