Sundown and Somme 4-H Clubs Hold Annual Achievement Night, May 25 On Wednesday, May 25, thet ~ Sundown South and Somme 4-H Clothing Clubs held their first annual Achievement night in the Community Hall at Sundown. Somme has an enrolment of nine girls with Mra Norman Per thallium as leader while Sundown South has seven girls and Mrs Tony Bereziuk is their leader. The evening was opened with the singing of “ Canada”, re peating of the 4-H pledge and the singing of club songs. The president’ s report of San down was given by Marton Kesty siuk. The evening was ended with the serving of lunch by the girls. Members of the Sundown South Club are: Nellie Kostyniuk, Nel lie Werestiuk, Marilyn Boychuk, Annie Werestiuk, Jean Kostyniuk and Marion Kostyniuk. The project of the Somme Club, a display entitled “Somme Cloth ing Club to the Rally won nigh praise both from the Home Ec onomist and the guests present. an Ascension Day service was held at the Ukr. Catholic Church on Thursday, May 26. After the service, a dinner was served by the Community Hall by members of the Ladies Assa. In the after noon the Sundown ball club play ed a game with Somme, winning by a score of T-4 The Building af a road con necting the No. 14 going through Sundown and No. 12 Aighing has begun. Perchaliuk, Alex Paskorchiuk, N. Kutzak, Pete Dormanko, and Geo. Eliuk. Luck was with them when Nick Perchaliuk bought an elec tric water kettle for 50c. C. Bilych. The girls and leaders discussed what kind of uniforms they will wear to the rally held in D.C. this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Kerelluk took their children to see the an imals at the city zoo on Sunday. * * * Mrs. W. C. Bilyeh and Mrs. M. Stadnyk were rewarded with certificates by the Man.
