Places New Service Station In Op eration Here The Standard Oil Company's new Service Station located at the corner of Morgan and Sycamore Steets, was placed in operation Wednesday. The building is of brick construction with stone trimming, having a can opy extending over inside drive and covering Two Automatic Release Five Gallon Pumps. The drives are cir cular shape and of cement. The building proper has full sized base ment with heating plant, one 19 Horse Power Automatic Air Compressor, al so storage room for the various grades of Polarine Oil and Creases. There is in this building , complete wash room with lavatory and toilet. It is the desire of the Standard Oil Company in the opening of this sta tion, to improve the service to the cit izens of this community and to give them the same high standard of ser vice that they are giving elsewhere. At this station there is free air and water for all that are in need of this service The Service Station Department is the infant in the Standard OD family nevertheless it is the means in which ‘these are endeavoring’ to serve the ‘motoring public with Red Crown gave fine ab or uniform price and to ex tend and or minintain the service that fees with the Service Department. The attendiaints at the sta tion are Mr Creorge Shane, who has been in the cmioplay of the Standard Oil Company for several years and is be ing transferd from a another depart ment and Mr. Harry Roark who is a resident of the Martinsville com munity.
