FOURTH OF JULY COMMIT TEE PLANS ERECTION OF ARCH AND GIANT FIGURE OF ACHIEVEMENT. A colossal arch capped with a giant figure of achievement ‘will be erected'in Logansport, through which the marching sons of Cass’ county who played their part in the war against Germany’ will pass on the Fourth of July, when a monster jubilee and celebration will be given in their honor. ‘This decision was reached at a meeting of the Fourth of July committee last night. Char main Edward Crompp declared that the committee had had this matter under consideration for some time, but that no definite action had been taken until last night. The figure to be constructed on the top of the arch will be done by E. Pierre Wainwright, local artist and sculptor. The arch and sculp tured figure will probably be erected at Third and Broadway. Chairman Crompp declared last night that the plans and prepara tions for the greatest day in Cass county annals were going forward satisfactorily. A request has been made that per sons knowing of Cass county men enlisted prior to the entrance of enlisted prior to the entrance of the United States in the war,, report the names of such boys to Chair man M. M. Wall.
