FRIGHTFUL TRAGEDY.Two Men Killed at Henry Mills’ Store Lost Saturday AfternoonA most shocking tragedy occurred last Saturday afternoon i•at Henry Mills’ Store, four miles from Flat Lick, in this county, ; when John and Clark Mills were , both killed.Pal Curnes and Jim Gray are ' the ones alledged to have done the killing, but we learn that Carnes says he did the killing himself. It seems from the best that we could learn that there had been trouble before between the parties, and it is alledged that the Mills’ had sent word to Carnes and Gray that if they were at Mills’ store when they arrived on Saturday they would kill both of them. It seems that, they never received the message until they arrived at the store on Saturday ufternoon, and soon after the Mills boys rode up then the trouble started, but who tired the first shot we have not been able to learn, but when the smoke of battle had cleared away both John and Clark Mills were killed, and neither of the others were hurt. Carnes and Gray surrendered themselves to the officers and were brought to town Monday, and as the Commonwealth was not ready for trial the date for the examining trial was set for Thursday. Carnes and Gray were both sent to jail in default of bail, and also Jett' Leath, the officer who brought them to town and delivered them over to the court, was locked up with them.
