—At a meeting of tho Hoard of Trustee* of the Pennsylvania State College,' hold at the Hush House, in Hellefonte, on Thursday, May 27, 1880, I'rof. Joseph Shortlidge of Concordville, Delaware cdunty, l*a., was unanimously elected President in place 1 of Dr. James Calder resigned. Professor Shortlidge comes highly recommended and we have no doubt will make a success of tho College. Ho is a brother of William Shortlidge, Esq., of this plate.
