him at allYour ever faithful friend,Columbus, Ohio, April 21.[Chicago Dcm.Case of I!yuuopiiobia.—Some four or five weekssince, a small dog came to the residence of John Mackay, in Manchester township, in this county ; and Mr. Mackay, thinking to make something of it, and without suspecting any thing the matter with the dog, commenced fondling it; but it caught him by the thumb of the left hand, and he was forced to cut its throat before he could get it loose. The wound healed, and nothing more wastho’t of it until last week he was warned ofbis melancholy situation by the commencement ofsharp pains shooting up hisarm—paroxysms followed, and on Friday he expiredunder all the agonies of hydrophobia.
