19 Seniors Awarded Diplomas At Exercises Last Friday Evening SWAN QUARTER — Dr Ed J. Carter, director of Bureau of Field Service at East Carolina College in Greenville, Friday night spoke to members of the West Hyde grad uating class at commencement ex am in the school .auditorium etc. Dr. Carter emphasized the im portance of Christian living, a ca reer and marriage. The speaker was presented by Joe W. Lupton, principal. The valedictory address was by Bill Griffin and the salutatory ad dress by Patricia Swindell.
