A dispatch passed by the Con dor of the U. S. Army Forces In the South Pacific, and dated at Bengular life, says that Pvt. Hornet J. Justice, age 24, Hua Vand of Mrs. Thelma A. Justice of this city, has been awarded “The Purple Heart” as a result of injuries sustained through enemy action in that part of the battle area, Pvt. Juatien entered the ser vice In December, 1942, and has been overseas with a tank unit for eight months. He is a gen eral of the fighting which took place around Bougainville in March, resulting in an overs chhelming defeat of the Japs. Pvt, Justice attended Poplar Bluff public schools, and pre vious to The entry Into the Army, was engaged In farming near this city.
