Pritchard, a partner of Captain Lloyd, and ReidPhipps, a clerk for Mr. Henry Lloyd.The instrument was made June 17,;1910, and dispose* of more than $250,-1~W’: vr * si y a,,'ft’000 in money and real estate, $50,000 1if _ - ■of the cash being on deposit at the Bank of Chapel Hill. jThe chief beneficiaries under the? | terms of the will are the four brothers j of the late Captain Lloyd. After be- j questing $10,000 and his home in ; Chapel Hill to bis wife, Carolina Lloyd, also $10,000 in real estate, $500 to the Oxford orphan asylum, $10,000. half in stock in the new mill that is under construction in Chape! and the J other half in cash, to each of the four i children of IBs favorite nephew, »( Walter C. Lloyd, namely. Nellie, Clarence, May and Settle Lloyd, and a home to the widow of this nephew, w ith the proviso that In case she re-jnurrffc* the same shall go to her children; and $2,000 to his nephew, RalphLloyd. He devised that the residue shall be equally divided into five parts and shall be given to his four brothers, Henry, W. J., Morris and Albert, and the other fifth to the three children of nis sister, Bettle Booker. To bis other brother. W. Pink Lloyd, he bequeathed the sum of $5. Many who were well acquainted with Captain Lloyd state that this last bequest was due to a political fight between the deceased and Pink Lloyd over tin post office appointment in Chapel Hill about six years ago. and that they had usvsr become reconciled since. The nephew, Ralph Lloyd, was a son of his brother W Pink Lloyd.In many instances the will isunique, being written upon ordinary paper by Justice of the Peace 1. 8Barbee, and altogether It contains sixteen clause*.
