Wooly Carpet Monsters have invaded the old Johnson Implement Co. on Hwy. 210 East, across from Larson Upholstery. Tyke Bassett told us today that: “It looks like these Monsters are going to take over the entire town.” He added that he is going to have trouble getting rid of the monsters unless he gets some help from the people of the area. It’s been said that where the wooly monster goes the urge comes over people to discard there shoes and walk in the path left by them. “It gives your feet a feel of walking on air” one woman was heard to comment, “Tyke,” or as he’s known in East Brainerd, ‘King Tyke’ would like to see all of you come out to help him get these wooly Monsters out of his building. They come in practically all colors and can be trimmed to fit in any room. Tyke has them in his own home in every room “Even the kids room” he said, ‘and they love it.” “The kids jump and romp all over it and it doesn’t mind at all.” Tyke’s wife really enjoys it, when it starts to look weary she justs takes a rake and fluffs it up and it looks just like new. ‘I hope that everyone in the Brainerd and surrounding area will try to come out and look at these unusually beautiful Carpet Monsters and I know that when you do you will want one or several for your home.” “Take it from me, Tyke added, “If you put a wooly carpet Monster in your home you'll be the envy of all your neighbors, we're located just a couple of blocks East of the Brainerd Mall. You'll see the sign, “Tyke’s Carpet” on the building.” Just across from Lum Park.
