Janelle Mug ness of Tim/fson Partici (Hites In Science ProgramiCJ-ieeDENTON, Tex. — Janelle Magncssof Timpson, 1900 graduate of Panola College, has been chosen lo work full time in a National Science Foundation research participation program at North Texas Slate College this summer.Sixteen NTSC undergraduate students have been selected for the project. The program operates under three grants totaling $20,-?50 from the foundation.Each student will receive an allowance of S600 for his summer work. 11 is expected that most of them will continue on a part-time r basis during the 1961-62 school year.Students . will study and work in research projects conducted by s NTSC scientists in biology, chem-cl islry and physics. Dr. Robert C. d Sherman, biology professor, is di-G rector of the program.Miss Magncss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Magncss, Houle 3, Timpson, is a junior chemistry major. She will work in the chemistry research laboratory of Dr. Price Truitt.
