Lifetime Resident .Mabel Lenna Strouse, daughter of Aipheus and Roxanne Strouse, was born Nov. 9, 1877, on a farm near Swan lake and spent her entire life in the Laurens community. She was married Dec. 20, 1899, to Wes -ley S. Clanton of Laurens and they ^tere the parents of four children. Mrs. Clanton joined the Christian church of Laurens in 1894. /Her husband died Feb. 14,Mrs. Clanton is survived by her four children, Claude M. of Laurend, Lawrance Ivan of Bigfbrk, Minn., Marian (Mrs. Ralph) James of Meservey, and Helen Ruth (Mrs. Allen) Cas-ady of Plainfield; one brother, E. E. Strouse of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. G. C. Campbell of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren and other relatives. !
