A review today of the record of Congressman Millard Caldwell shows outstanding and lasting benefits to Panama City and the adjacent area during the time he has been in Congress. Chief of these are: (1) The completion of the $600, 600 channel in St. Andrews bay. (2) A term of federal court for Panama City to be held this fall. (3) A new post office original allotment $80,000, now increased to $155,000.) (4) Deepening and widening of the East Bay canal at a cost of $340,000. (5) Appropriation of $1,750,000 for the construction of the West Bay-Choctawhatchee canal (Con tract for $1,000,000 to be let within next few weeks.) (6) Several CCC camps in this county and immediate territory for periods of more than one year. (7) Several new school and other public buildings constructed by the WPA. (8) Fair treatment of the aver age man, including work for those who had work; the saving of homes about to be lost; federal money for the erection of new homes loans on easy terms to home owners, bus iess men, and industry for retail and reconstruction, keeping the old jobs and creating new work: the laying of the foundation for the payment of pensions to the aged, the infirm, and the mothers. On the basis of these and other accomplishments, too numerous to mention, why even consider a change to an unknown quantity? (Paid political advertisement by friends of Millard Caldwell)
