Sport Much Like Parent Game To Be Inaugurated by Mayor and Council. The “Lucky Strike” miniature post course will open tomorrow night at South Mechanic and Pershing streets with Mayor Thomas W. Koon scheduled to tee off in the first round at 7:30. Following him will be City Commissioners Herbert Lee Blye, Joseph H. Griffin, Sam uel Wertheimer and John C Shearer, Clerk of the Circuit Cour Lloyd L Shaffer, City Solicitor Charlies Z. Heskett and Thomas Y Richards, clerk to the County Com missioners. Music will be by the ‘Lucky Strike” miniature golf golf course is one of hundred, springing up with mushroom-like rapidity throughout the south and east. The game is said to simulate cosely many of the strokes and plays of the parent game and prac tice and skill are required for suc cessful play. The course will ve open from m a m. to midnight, being played after dark under powerful incan descent flood lights. Regulation clubs and balls are used, furnished by the management. “Lucky Strike” minature golf courses are installed and operated by T. J. Reavis, Jr. and B. T. Sustare of Greensboro, N. C., who have courses throughout the south West Virginia and Maryland. Local capital is interested, J. E Wetzal, Jr., of the Consumer's Fuel Co, and W Richard D.
