Melrose, N. M.A few lines from a bereaved reader of the Messenger. We had to give up our dear companion on the 20th of April. The Lord called her to come up higher as her mansion here on earth was filled. While she fiever spoke but a few words for 13 daylt;-we believe that she died in a full triumphant faith of our redeemer. J. J. Murdick.ancoh£w;hefud€ylt;Obituary.Mrs. Sarah Caroline Murdick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Eddy, was born in Crawford Co., Ark. November 20, 1873, and departed this life at her home near Plain, N. M. on April 20th, 1922; age 48 years and 5 mos.She was united in marriage to John J. Murdick on January 15, 1890. To this union were born four sons and four daughters; one dying in infancy. The others with her husband, eight grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law, mother and two brothers were at her bedside i {-when she passed away. Besides these she leaves three sisters and one brother with a host of other relatives and friends to morn their loss.She vas converted and united with the Methodist church at Pleasant Grove church near hester, Ark. at the age of 13 years. Since that time she has lived a devoted Christian life. She was a kind and a'ffectionate daughter, a loving and devoted wife and mother. She leaves a vacant place that never can be filled.She was taken sick at her home on April 8th, was sick 13 days with a stroke of Apoplexy.Funeral services were held by Rev. Evans of McAlister, N. M. at the Baptist church of Plain, N. Mex. on April 31st at 2 p. m. The remains were laid to rest to await the resurrection morn in the Plain cemetery.Earth has lost its look of gladness,, Heaven seems to us more bright Since the Spirit of our loved one.Took Its heavenly, homeward flight.She has crossed death's cold river,
