Gaastra is to have oe postoffice. The announcement was unexpected, although afforte had been made for several months to obtain # postoffios for that location. The first that resi dents of Palatka krew a post office would be established in Gaastra was last Monday, when a notice was posted on the door of the post office at Cna plan, telling the public that a post miaster was desired for Gaastra, immediately a whirl of excitement swept through Gaastra. Here was an oportunity for most anyone to be come a real,ive postmaster. About the time there were ao many decisions to try for the postmastership as there will be patrons of the office, the ex crement subsided and left only three applicants in the field—Ablin Olson, James Brew and Kilmer Piper. Mr. Pipe late withdrew, leaving the field to Mr. Olson and Mr. Brew.
