Pardoned by the Governor.Henry Mathis, a half wit ted fellow, who killed Ed Poteet, son of William Poteet, in this county about five years ago and was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to along term in the penitentiary,has been pardoned by Governor Russell on a petition signed, it is learned, by a large number of citizens of this county. Mathis came home last week.
