Jane R. llavden, and old and reflected resident of this valley, tiled 011 Tuesdayof thin week, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clabe Bartlett. Deceased waB born in Tennessee in 1820. In 1837 »he was married to A. I). Laughlin. Four children were lorn to this marriage, one of whom—J. JI. Caughlin, of Ukiah Valley —survives her. In 1851 she wub left a widow, and two years following Bhe moved to California. Shortly after her arrival here she was married to R. Hayden. To this marriage two daughters were Ixirn—Mrs. James Bartlett, deceased, and Mrs. Clabe Bartlett, of this valley, who survives her mother.Deceased had been a resident of Ukiah valley lor about 25 years, and was beloved and respe-.ad by all who knew her.The funeral took place from the M. E. Church, South, of which she was a member, on Wednesday afternoon, tbe funeral ceremony being conducted by Rev. 11. C. Meredith.
