Letter to editor 2To Cuero Daily Paper: IGentlemen An old time resident of Cuero encloses part of the Houston Post 7*14 74 1 am quite pleased to have noted the beautiful old homes shown in the pictures and identified in context We lived on Live Oak St., next to Old Doctor Blake's home. Mrs Blake was a Welder girl She had a brother, Staton Weldon, who married a Warn girl.The Old Blake Home should be included in the fine old homes Many other cities are now Iundertaking to restore the fine old landmarks. IMy family moved to Beaumont to enjoy the oil boom Iopportunities (1903) which were ’quite rewarding. 1I shall always remember John C. French High School. An jexcellent school and its teachers were more than jexcellent. 1 have lived in •Houston since 1909 All good wishes.Sincerelv.
