The silver eagles of his new rank are pinned on the shoulders of Col Allan J. Snyder, USA, in ceremonies marking his promotion from the rank of lieutenant colonel at the Defense Personnel Support Center in Philadelphia. Pinning the eagles are his wife, Elodie Snyder, and Brig. Gen. William M. Mantz, USA, Center Commander. As Chief of the Center's Medical Materiel Procurement Division, Col Snyder is responsible for buying most of the medical supplies used by the Armed Forces. He resides with his family at 1305 Drew Court, Cherry Hill, N.J., and is the son of Mrs. A. E. Snyder, 645 Lewis Ave., Milford. The Center is a field activity of the Defense Supply Agency.
