Mesdames Anna Kime, Mar lin Meppen, Andrew Murman and Robert Tollakson attended the Legion Auxiliary county meeting at Plover Monday evening. A neighborhood pot-luck sup per was held in the M. A. Han sen home Friday in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Egli and family who moved to Manson. Gloria Juilis of Pomeroy spent a week at Gilmore City in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hanssen. She is a cousin of Mr. Hanssen. ‘Wesley Pulley was a business caller in Des Moines Friday. A reception and pot-luck din ner were held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hopes Peter son Sunday, July 27, in honor of Rev. and Mrs. arhur Peter son. They were presented a gift. Mrs. John Wilts spent Thurs day with Mr. and Mrs. John Carver at Des Moines. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eagan and family spent a week at Cass Lake, Minn. They visited Mr. Eagan’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr..and Mra. Dixon Parrish at Blue Earth, Minn., en route home Monday. The regular, meeting of ‘the American Legion Auxiliary will be held Tuesday evening, Aug. 5. Mr. and ‘Mrs. Joe O’Brien and Mr. and Mrs. John Triggs of Fort Dodge were Sunday din ner guests in the Vern Metz ger home. Kathleen Ann O'Brien returned home with her parents after spending a week in the Vern Metzger home while her folks were on vaca tion to Chicago, Ill., and Lake Okoboji. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Morrill and Annette and Mrs. Jim Collins spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Collins and Vic kie at Spepricer. Miss Catharine Leonard of Graettinger was an overnight guest, Wednesday in the home of her brother-in-law, and sis ts ae 8 Rene Humboldt, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Julius, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bar rett and Peggy Ann of Pocahon tas, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Aden, Mr.'s and Mrs. Duane Aden and Minnie and Mathilda Behrends, of Palmer. . Here From Pennsylvania Rev. and Mrs. John Acker man and family of Pittsburgh, Pa., arrived Wednesday for a visit in the Donald Reiter home and with other relatives. Mrs. Irene Ihnen spent the week-end in the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thnen and family at Burt. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pulley and John, Mrs. Hazel Brown and Miss Betty Nichols of Ft. Dodge were Sunday dinner guests in the Wesley Pulley home. Mrs. Delmar Clarken and Deanne of Webb were , after noon callers. Rev. and Mrs. R. Wagner drove to Treynor, Sunday after services. He performed the or dination services in St. Paul Lutheran church for Harold Gronstal. Mr. Gronstal was bap tized and confirmed by Rev. Wagner, while he was pastor at Treynor.. ‘ Mrs. Anna Kime entertain ed the Friday afternoon Des sert Bridge club in her home. Prizes were won by Corliss Wiegert, Mrs. Bernard Wiegert and Mrs. John Peterson. Vacationed at Black Hills Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wessels, Mary Ann and Rita, returned home Monday from a ten day vacation to the Black Hills. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wie gert spent the week end in the Elmer Meyer home at Walt ham, Minn. Miss Donna Pierick, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pie rick, was a medical patient in the Mercy hospital at Fort Dodge. Ricky Tollakson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tollakson, suf fered a chin injury at the Poca hontas swimming pool Thurs day afternoon. It required three ‘stitches to close the wound. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Tollak son and children attended a family gathering in the home of ‘Mrs. ‘Tollakson’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewy Hunt at Al den, Saturday evening. ‘In the semi-finals of the dis triet girls’ softball ternament held at Havelock, Wednesday night, the Palmer girls beat Ce idar Valley. 8-8.
