Resident Of Laurel 25 Years; Funeral Services Conducted At BillingsFuneral services were held at Smith’s funeral home in Billings Saturday for James Francis Weir.; b 63, resident of Laurel for the last c 25 years, who died at his home. Friday. | JMr. Weir, assistant car foreman • for the Northern Pacific, began twork as a call boy. After working for a number of years in Denver he came to .Billings in 1909 as a car inspector and leading mechanic for the Northern Pacific. In 1925 he was transferred to the Laurel yards as assistant foreman.He was bom June 29, 1883, at Silver Hume, Colo., a son of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Weir. On Dec. 31, 1919, he married Miss May Hawkins in Billings. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of »tEagles.Surviving are his widow, oneje brother, Arthur William Weir of California; a sister, Mrs. G. A. lt;'Beckert; a niece, Mrs. F. E. Crater; a great niece, Kathleen and a, J nephew, George, all of Billings.Services were conducted by: Timothy O’Shea, pastor of St. An-,® thony’s Catholic church of Laurel. | Francis M.
