JACOB R. CATT, EFFIE FINE AND NEWTON O'NEAL DIED SUNDAY PETERSBURG, July 31.—Jacob R. Catt, widely known merchant, died at 6:30 o'clock Sunday after noon at his home in Clay township, west of Petersburg following a year’s illness from diabetes. He was born 49 years ago today. He married Nina Roberts on July 1, 1916 but they had no children. He leaves his mother, his wife and two sisters, both of whom are ill in the Daviess county hospital. They are: Mrs. Inez Burton, of Hazleton rural route and Mrs. Nan nie Potts of Washington. Funeral services will be held at the New Butler church, five miles west of Petersburg, at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning in charge of the Rev. Jacob Greathouse and burial will be in White river chapel cemetery. Mrs. Effie Fine An illness of one week ended in the death at 7:30 o'clock Sunday morning of Mrs. Effie Fine in the Daviess county hospital. She was the wife of John Fine to whom she was married October 16, 1910. Her parents were Harry and Mary Mc Cone McCain. She was 53 years old last April 2. Living children of Mrs. Fine are Odell Fine, of Ev ansville; Mrs. Margaret Davis, of Winslow and Miss Mary Fine, of Petersburg. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lula Lucas, and Mrs. Leona Smith, both of Petersburg. Mrs. Fine was a member of the Primitive Baptist church. Funeral services will be held in the Main street Presbyterian church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Frank McLaughen. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery. Newton O'Neal Death claimed Newton O'Neal at the Home hospital in Petersburg Sunday evening at 6:15 o'clock aft er an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be held at Atkinson chapel in Logan town ship at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning with burial to follow in Smith cemetery. The Rev. Grover Craig will be in charge. Mr. O'Neal, who was 75 years old, leaves two sons, Homer and Russell both of Indianapolis. His wife preceded him in death.
