Eliza Jane, daughter of Nathaniel and Catherine Reuck was born near Ursa, Adams county, Illinois, May 17, 1858. She came to Missouri with her parents and settled on a farm about 6% miles southeast of Brookfield.On October 10, 1883, she was united In marriage with Isaac J. Collier, who survives her. Besides the husband, she leaves five children: Mrs. S. M. Ma-hurin, Laurence L Collier, Mrs. H. H. Strickland, Mrs H. O. Staples and Mrs. E. C. Tarpening, all of Brookfield. There are 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Collier was a kind and loving mother and neighbor and well liked by all those who knew her. The husband and family have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their hour of sorrow.
