‘Jackson Heard From.Curtis Jett, a nephew of Samuel Jett, whose house was burned one night last week, and who was said to be running a blind tiger in the house at the time, has written a letter to theLexington Morning Democrat vindicating some of the participants in the faction of liil town. He says he is greatly disgusted with such reports as appear in some of the papers which exaggerate to such a degree. He says Dr. Cox.was kill-by mistake. The lad says: “I have now grown up to mature years, and by the help of God intend to be a law-abiding citizen, I and honest man.”Whatever condition may be the affairs at Jackson, we guess they ate bad enough, yet we have been in this town and it appeared to us to be one of the most peacable and orderly places we were ever at. The people are enlightened and intelligent, but why tl ev continue to condescend to such low I murderous intentions is beyond the average man’s coiuperhen-eion. ,
