Anticipated Current Revenue Bond for the Year 18g9. The City of Sedalia, in the County of Pettis, State of Missou ri, for value received, hereby prom ises to pay to —————, or bearer, at the counter of the Merchants- Laclede National Bank, in the City of St. Louis, State of Missouri, the sum of one thousand dollars, to gether with interest at the rate of six per cent per annum, the prin cipal to be payable at the end of the year, and the interest in equal installments at the end of six and twelve months from the date here of, on presentation of the coupons hereto attached. This bond is issued under and in pursuance of section 70, of an act of the Thirty-seventh general as sembly, of the state of Missouri, 1593, entitled ‘‘An act to repeal article 4, of chapter 303, of the re vised statutes of Missouri of 1859, with all amendments thereof, the said article being entitled ‘Cities of the third class,’ and to enact in lieu thereof a new article, provid ing for the government of the cities of the third class.’’ Approved April 19th, 1893, for the purpose of anticipating a portion of the current revenue for the fiscal year, 1899 , it is one of fifteen bonds of the denomination and par value of one thousand dollars each, and num bered from one to fifteen, inclu sive, this being No. , the ag gregate of said fifteen bonds does not exceed in amount one-half of said revenues, and its payment is secured by an ordinance directing that there be set apart out of the revenue of the city for the year 1899 a sum sufficient to pay both the principal and interest thereof. In testimony whereof, the said city has caused this bond to be at tested by the signatures of the mayor and clerk and to be sealed with the corporate seal of the city, and has caused the coupons to be signed by the mayor and clerk, this day of D. 1899. , . Ordinance No. 359. An ordinance providing for the issuing of fifteen current revenue bonds of the city of Sedalia, Missouri, for the year 1899, and providing for the payment there of. Be it ordained by the council of the city of Sedalia, Missouri, as follows, to wit. Section 1. That there be is sued fifteen bonds of the city of Sedalia, Missouri, of the denomi nation and par value of one thou sand dollars each, and to be num bered, respectively, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 7, 8,9, 10, II, 12, 13, 14 and 15, which bonds shall bear interest from date at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable semi-an nually. Sec. 2. Said bonds shall be dated July , 1899, and shall be due and payable one year after date, and shall be designed and known as ‘‘Sedalia Anticipated Current Revenue Bonds’’ for the year 1899. Said bonds shall be signed and executed by the mayor, Mayor. Clerk. coUPON. The city of Sedalia, Missouri, will pay the bearer on the Seventh day of January and July, 1900, thirty dollars, for value received, at the counter of The Merchants- Laclede National bank in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, being six months interest then due on Seda lia Current Revenue Bond No— for the year 1599.
