She is ac-companies! by Miss Nannie Hell—daughter of the writing teacher of colored schools in Cincinnati.Mr. Anderson, Bishop ShorUr’s son-in-law, of Canton, Mississippi, brought his daughter up for school, and is spending a few weeks with relatives. Texas had nine students who entered school last year, and sends two new ones for this year. Bishops Shorter and Payne are each on episcopal business. Professor W. S. who is absent for few days, has resigned his position as Post Master and Secretary. Clark now has the office. The Messrs. Delaney’s have visiting them, Messrs. William Fielding and Thomas Basey of Sprinfield, Ohio. We had an able discourse Sunday morning by our pastor J. M. Ross. Miss Consuelo Clark, the second daughter of P. H. Clark, left a few days since for her home in Cincinnati. Her relatives whom she has been visiting will miss her as she is quite lively, I am sure she is missed in the social circle. Professor Shorter takes a rest on his farm, while President Lee rests himself by exercising pastoral authority in Xenia, Ohio.
