Local News.Joe McCord, the custodian of Flint, 1 returned Sunday from St. Louis, where ' he had gone to report to Edward Healy, 1 who owns the flint beds and the crush- 1 ing plant up the river. While there he \ persuaded Mr. Healy of the need 1 for a good carriage road from the railway to the river and aecured his ] chief's consent to begin its construction«at once. Joe is intetested in popularizing Flint as a pleasure resort and this ! railway will materially as it has here- ’ tofore been hard for automobiles and carriages to get to the river. I
