Local News.Joe McCord, the custodian of Flint, returned Sunday from St. Louis, where he had gone to report to Edward Healy, jiwho owns the flint beds and the crush- ' ing plant up the river. While there he persuaded Mr. Healy of the need j for a good carriage road from the railway to the river and aecured his j chief's consent to begin its construction i at once. Joe is intetested in popularizing Flint as a pleasure resort and this railway will materially as it has here-1 tofore been hard for automobiles and j carriages to get to the river. j
