NITZ Pamela Mary Willoughby Nitz ( nee Broughton Gillies) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 24, 2002, after a brief illness at the age of 82 years, beloved wife of John Nitz of Medicine Hat. She will leave memories to be cherished by many but especially by loving husband John Nitz, sons Allan and Jim Stadelman, daughter Allexis Karne, step daughter Sandra (Mario) Zagar, and her loving grandchildren Julia, Pearl, Jade, John, and Lee Stadelman who Nana took such delight in. She was predeceased by her parents Sarah and Ernest Gilkes and by two grandchildren Troy and Danielle Patterson. Pamela was born on January 19, 1920 in Dulwich, England and immigrated to Canada as an orphaned child sent to relatives. Pamela had a great zest for living which she shared with all. She took her first helicopter flight at eighty and was always game for a bit of excitement or adventure. She enjoyed good health, a quick wit, an iron will and a sense of mischief all her days. She will be much missed and lovingly remembered. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL downtown on Monday July 29, 2002 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Gene Packwood officiating.
