iPhoenix Files Suit to Demolish 12 BuildingsThe village of Phoenix, through the law firm of Partee and Green, filed suits in circuit court recently for the demolition of 12 abandoned or sub-standard buildings, mostly one-story frame residences.The suits ask alternatively for correction of violations, injunctions and finesThe owners and buildings named in the suits are:Lucille and John Waligora, 508 153rd street; Stanley and Elizabeth Maslanka, vacant building on 155th street; Frances Burton, a foundation located on the north side of 153rd street, 96 feet east of 3rd street, and Hiram C. Hudson, 15330 6th avenue.Also, Peter and Josephine Krol, a store and apartment located at 560 E. 155th; Julius Perryman and P. Ellis, 155th street, northwest corner of Vincennes, one-story brick and two-story frame; N. Field, Inc. and Rosari Mangamp, 520 154th place; Harvey and Claire Teeters, 832 155th street, and Jesse and Mary Holton, 840 8th avenue.Also, William Pittman and Joseph Dezonna, 15127 Halsted; Theodore and Bertha Cetner, 521 151st street, and Pauline Carr and John P. Brenner, a vacant building located on the west side of 6th avenue, 175 feet south of 152nd street.
